I started Marilyn’s yoga and Pilates classes solely for exercise in 2006, after returning to the Central Coast. Her exceptional instruction, however, motivated me to dig much deeper into my practice towards the mind-body-spirit connection. Over the past 14 years, her approachability and sincerity as an instructor have developed into an invaluable friendship, which has pushed me to a greater sense of emotional well-being and self-growth. Her extensive educational background with yoga certifications and focus on trauma/therapy/etc., as well as life-coaching skills, provide her with the unique ability to pinpoint specific areas of improvement for each individual student even through her practice offered in group settings. Whether attending her weekend yoga retreats in Avila Beach or taking her Chakra classes online, you won’t find a more authentic, fun, experienced, and dedicated yoga instructor than Marilyn Mercado!
